The goal of the beginner class is to teach you the basics of self defense. You will learn basic stances and movements, various striking combinations, joint manipulations and throws as well as how to defend against haymaker punches, straight punches, tackles and wrist grabs.

In the intermediate level you will learn additional combinations, joint manipulations and throws as well as defenses against more complex attacks such as kicks, lapel grabs, head locks, chokes and bear hugs. In addition, there is a strong emphasis on techniques that involve defending against weapons such as guns, knives and sticks.

The higher levels are for advanced students only and our main focus is on “Randori” or “Freestyle” training against multiple attackers. The curriculum includes more advanced techniques that involve defending against lateral, rear attacks and group attacks, with or without weapons, as well as defending against ground fighting.
